Adam Dread Defends Stand on Guns in Bars

Today, the Tennessean.com featured Adam Dread defending his stand against guns in bars in a simple and straightforward editorial. Adam maintains that Guns and Alcohol Don't Mix (the strong coalition) do not feel this is a movement against the second amendment, but rather an action to keep restaurant goers safe as they dine in Nashville.

Adam writes in the Tennesssean, "This crazy law is not the "will of the people." It is special-interest legislation. Less than 3 percent of Tennesseans are conceal carry permit holders." Dread furthers his stand by expressing the desire to allow restaurant owners to opt in and allow guns in their establishments, rather than forcing others to opt out, creating a heavy burden for restaurant owners.

Adam Dread is serving as co-council with attorney David Randolph Smith and is seeking injunction of a recently passed law allowing guns in bars. To read the full story, see the Tennessean.com
