Randy Rayburn Projects Position on Guns in Bars
Nashville restaurant owner, Randy Rayburn voiced his experienced opinion regarding guns in bars in the state of Tennessee. As the owner of three successful restaurants in Nashville (Sunset Grill, Cabana, Midtown Grill) Randy understands what it takes to make customers and employees happy.
Rayburn’s editorial in The Tennessean formatted a direct response to Phil Valentine’s editorial last week. Despite Valentine’s claim that no harm had been done since the law’s inception, violence ensued in Tennessee, as a result of guns in bars. Rayburn stated, “In mid-July, a man killed one man and shot another at a karaoke bar in Tellico Plains...” referring to the incident in which a tragic shooting occurred in a Tennessee bar.
Phil Valentine’s information stating that 37 states have similar laws allowing guns in bars was also dispelled in Rayburn’s piece, due to the fact that Tennessee law does not distinguish between bars and restaurants.
Randy Rayburn’s Tennesssean editorial spoke to eject myths about Tennessee’s history concerning guns in bars. He speaks as a Tennessee citizens, and also as a prominent restaurant owner in the city of Nashville.
Rayburn is part of the coalition seeking injunction of the Tennessee law allowing guns in bars. To read the full story visit TheTennessean.com
