ABC Reports on Guns in Bars Issue

ABC News reported on the issue of guns in bars on Monday night. The news piece, reported from Tennessee by Steve Osunsami featured David Randolph Smith, as well as Randy Rayburn, two key players in the lawsuit making headway in the fight to overturn guns in bars.

Osunsami also spoke about the highly publicized murder of Ben Goeser, and interviewed his widow, Nikki Goeser. In the report, Osunami spoke with David Randolph Smith who said, “The Tennessee legislature has, in effect, put guns in bars, and has encouraged shootings in bars.”

Restauranteur, Randy Rayburn reiterated the major points in his Tennessean editorial on guns in bars, and stated that allowing guns in restaurants that serve alcohol endangers patrons and puts undue responsibility on restaurant owners and staff.
